Eat for a good cause - Winooski Wednesdays!

Every Wednesday this month, a local restaurant will donate a percentage of its profits to support the Winooski Community Center project!

Nurturing Families Program at Winooski Family Center

The Winooski Family Center and PCAV are pleased to announce that a Nurturing Program for Families with Children Aged 0-5yrs will be offered in Winooski. The Nurturing Program will start on January 11, 2008.

The Nurturing Program is an education program that includes the whole family - parents and children. Families participate in fun and educational sessions that meet weekly. At each session, adults and children take part in separate, age-appropriate activities as well as share snacks and family nurturing time. The Nurturing Program is appropriate for any family that wants to get along better, communicate more, and feel closer. This program is lead by trained volunteer facilitators.

The Winooski Coalition for a Safe and Peaceful Community held a series of Community Forums this past October. Even if you were unable to attend we'd still like to hear what you have to say. Youth Basketball

December 15 - Winooski Youth Basketball begins
Youth in 1st through 8th grades can sign up for Saturday morning Basketball at the school. There are two FREE basketball clinics on December 15th and 29th from 10 to 12.
The regular basketball program runs Saturday mornings from 10 to 12, starting January 5th through the 3rd week in February. The program costs $25 for one ($5 for each additional) family member. Registration forms are available through the school, at City Hall, the Library, or online at www.onioncity.com. Return forms and money to City Hall or mail to Bob DiMasi 27 West Allen St, Winooski, VT 05404.
You must register before December 15th.

Thanksgiving Community Potluck

This month's potluck will take place on November 15th, from 5:30 to 7:00 at the Winooski School Cafeteria. Come enjoy an early Thanksgiving Dinner, sponsored (and served) by City Market!
